Teacher Recommendations - TWO Core subject teacher recommendations are required for tryouts and their responses will be applied to your tryout score. The information they provide will be taken seriously, will be confidential, and will not be shared with any candidate(s) at any time. Teachers will provide information relating to:
Attendance / Punctuality
Respect of Authority
Respect of Peers
Effort and Quality of Work
Honesty and Integrity
Coachability / Receptiveness to Constructive Criticism
While cheerleading and tumbling experience are great, it is NOT A REQUIREMENT for trying out. Therefore, having no experience in cheerleading or tumbling should not keep a student from trying out if they want to.
Submission of the tryout application and parent consent, and participating through the entirety of the tryout process indicates you are accepting a position on the team, should you be offered one. If you are offered a position on the team and then change your mind, that is viewed as quitting the team and you will not be able to try out again next year.
Final decisions regarding the selection of team members will be made solely by the Rogers Royals Cheerleading Coaching Staff, and will be honored and respected by candidates and parents.
